B/W Tank Okada
"You have to drink the coffee while it's hot or else it will be cold."  Probably the smartest statement of the day from me.  The rest of them will be crazy off the wall things.  I fail at smart talk.

YAY!
 JOHN MAYER IS MY HERO!

That's all there is to it.  The concert was seriously the most awesome thing I have ever experienced.  Sleeptrain amphitheater is wonderful, the sound didn't echo and it was the perfect volume.  Lots of bugs though.  John even said something along the lines of, "There seems to be lots of bugs tonight, but if that's normal here and the locals have to deal then I guess I will too."

This concert seriously kicked some butt.  It surpassed my wildest expectations by a landslide!  He is the most talented performer.  I can practically guarantee it.  His guitar playing was so magnificent and his voice was flawless as usual.  He even sang songs he'd written especially for this tour.  I only wish I wouldn't have forgotten the memory card for the camera.  I brought the camera, but failed to drag along the memory card. *headdesk*.  Next time I'll be so close to the stage that I can see up his pants... or something like that.

Life goal "see John Mayer live": accomplished!!!!!!!!!!!!
17th-Jul-2008 04:18 pm - The Waitress handbook
WTF?
1: Always wear non-slip shoes... no joke.
2: Carry around a thousand dollar bank in cash... even if you can't afford it.
3: Avoid spitting in a customers food, even if said customer is a complete moron and wouldn't notice anyway.
4: Make sure you throw yourself at the customers feet or they will not tip you.
5: Never leave a customer with their menu for more then five minutes unless you want a bitch fight.
6: Do whatever they ask.  If they ask for coleslaw with their hamburger and you are serving in a mexican restaurant kindly go to Safeway and buy some... unless you don't care about a tip.
7: If you are serving another table abandon them and help whoever looks the most pissed off first.
8: Avoid small children and sit them away from the sugar containers.
9: Carry around a shishcabob stick to threaten anyone who refuses to pay.
10: Say thank you ten million times.
11: Don't correct their pronunciation... it only provokes them.
12: when they ask for directions and you don't know the way, lie and act like you know what you're talking about.
13: Give them less chips when they take longer to answer your questions.
14: If they are rude and ask for onions in their enchilida, don't give them any and say you did.
15: When agrivated by a customer, accidently forget to refill their drinks until five minutes after they finish eating.

My cell phone greeting message is "Gombate Japan!"  I had forgotten until I turned it off to charge for the first time since I owned the thing.  Stop texting me you tard!  Are you like... trying to make me pay a million dollars for my phone bill... *shishcabob's her*.  (Bzuh, I didn't mean Maddie.  I was talking about my older cousin who can't seem to stop texting even though I attempt to ignore her... gomen for the confusion).
27th-Jun-2008 10:03 pm - Postergirl for Wanted
YAY!
I haven't been to the movies in over... probably a month and a half (doesn't seem long, but when you live so close to the actual theater like me, it's a pretty lengthy wait).  There really haven't been very many films I've felt inclined to see.  I usually enjoy something with a plot that's not totally predictable or completely void of a captivating premise.  Well, despite my better judgement, I went and saw Wanted.

I was surprised.  Typically, I don't enjoy carnage to this extent (although I truly wasn't expecting so much gore in this particular film).  I enjoyed it immensely.  I really tapped into my inner savage.  Watching bullets rip through skulls in slow motion and cars flip to kill the passangers was actually... fun.  I even winced a few times at the graphic happenings.

I guess my point is that I liked a movie I hadn't expected to find enjoyable.  Should you find a few hours free time and $7.50 and you'd like to watch an awesome action film I would suggest this one.

As a side note: I found Angelina Jolie incredibly sexy.  Normally I don't take note of the women in movies, but she was really excellent!

Another quick note: Tony worked... and I am so self concious that I tried to avoid him almost the entire night.  Darn him and his attractiveness.
19th-Jun-2008 10:49 pm - Bugs in the rugs... and bugging.
YAY!
I swear to you that when it comes to bugs I am by far the most unfortunate person.  If you please, try and recall during my school semester when that random bug hit my face.  Well, today I was riding Stella when whack a huge ass horse fly smacked me in my forehead and then proceeded to follow me on a trotting Stella around the entire length of the round pen.  Scary.  If you've never been bit by a horse fly then you have no idea how painful it is and how long the welt lasts.

When I got home today I was laying on my bed when suddenly a random black ant scuttled across my arm.  That sucker was fast and I tried to be faster by smashing him, but he managed to escape my finger.  A few minutes later he came back!  He wanted to die, he really did.  I think he had purchased a one way ticket to his death from one of his buddies.  They should feel guilty.  Anyway, his smelly carcass is now somewhere in my recently cleaned carpet... yum.  And to think that I had wanted to eat off the floor after I had cleaned it.

YAY!
I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time!  It feels really good!

Watch Tegoshi and two older men (no I don't mean Yamapi and Ryo) attempt to ski across a sub zero puddle.

On another note, I simply can't seem to fall asleep tonight.  Maybe it's because of the dreams I've been having. Sometimes, I don't want tomorrow to come.  I wish today would last forever.

YAY!
My dream last night began when somone grabbed my arm and pulled me back away from where I was running.  I fell and all went dark.  Then there was rubble.  Desolation.  The wind kicked up a tumble weed and blew it across my now bare feet.  Somehow I was crying.  And even though I wanted to I couldn't stand because my feet hurt and my hands were bleeding.

My hair blew across my eyes and I saw what used to be there.  A building with only windows and lamps standing outside the entrance.  A man came out and smiled.  His suite was crisp, his hair slicked back, and he held in his left hand a single, thin book.  Then my hair moved and there was nothing.

As I cried the scene changed and I stood in a park.  Lush green trees and flowers surrounded me, but I still cried.  My hands were healed, my feet in white shoes.  The sun was blinding and I shielded my moist eyes from its rays.

Then I stood among a crowd.  Crying, balling, and screaming for someone to help me.  People glanced in my direction, glared so hard that I could feel their annoyance and then walked on.  They walked past me as I crumpled in a heap on the ground and cried because noone could help me but myself and I was too scared.  My friends, I could see their backs as they walked the opposite direction without a word.  I cried harder still.  I felt myself melting into the concrete with my tears.

Out of nowhere I could feel something warm running down my face, my back, my arms and I looked up into the gray sky and felt rain fall on my lips.  The warmth trickled down my neck to my toes and I instantly stopped crying.  When I shut my eyes to bask in the glory of the warmth I could tell that it had grown sunny and I opened my eyes again for them to lay upon a rainbow that I knew would be there if only I stopped crying.

When I stood the warmth engolfed me and my friends where infront of me again, smiling with sad eyes.  Their lips did not move, but their voices sighed above the wind, 'We are here.  Now.  Don't cry."  At that moment I couldn't cry even if I tried so I nodded.

The scene changed once more, the rain was gone but the clouds were still above my head, the same clouds as before.  I watched them as they moved on and rained in the distance.  Somehow I knew that the rain was falling on someone as desperate as I had been.

This is the sort of dream I always seem to have.  This is the dream the world should have.
